Dart Supplies
What other dart supplies do you need once you have your set of darts and your dart board? Well the fist thing you'll need is a dart tool, these great little gizmos will assist in replacing your soft tips on soft tip dart sets, and tighten those tips and the metal shafts, and help you straighten out the metal shafts on the dart when they get a little bent out of shape, as well as spreading the tines on the shaft to help you insert your flights more easily, an absolute must have item for any darter.
Also you are going to need lots of spare soft tips and flights and even a couple of shafts as well. The new spinning shafts which allow the flight to spin out of the way when hit by another dart is a great idea, saves your flights and you're scoring. And whilst on the topic of flights, always use flight protectors, not only do they protect your favourite flights, they help keep those flights in the correct shape by spreading out the individual fletches on the flight, at the correct 90 degree angle.
For steel tip darts, you are going to need a dart sharpener so the dart can enter the board easily and help prevent drop outs. This can be just a strip of grinding paper, a specially shaped sharpening stone or a full blown motorized dart sharpener that sharpens the tip at the correct angle in seconds, a great little gadget.
Also for fine tuning your throw you can get a dart tuning kit that includes a few sets of flights of different design from kite style to pear drop, so you can see which design suits you, and a set of add a grams to see if a little extra weight can improve your throw. Take a look at the catagories above, there is plenty to choose from when it comes to darts supplies.
And then of course you are going to need a darts case to put all your stuff in. I would recommend a hard case that will keep the shape of your flights intact and has enough space for your extra tips, flights and shafts as well.
Do you have a toe line marked out on your dart board? If not you can get colourful Budweiser throw lines to mark out the correct throwing distance for you or even a thick rubber mat that will save your floor as well as marking out the distance.
These are just a few of the extra dart supplies you can get; also they make a great present for your darter friend if you get stuck for ideas.
